The 11th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the governmental policy advisory body, opened its 5th session in the city of Changchun, the provincial capital, on Jan 14, during which Huang Yanming, chairman of the CPPCC of Jilin province, delivered the annual work report.

There were 523 members present for the session, many of whom submitted development proposals on the future of the province.

Also present at the opening ceremony was the provincial Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, the acting governor, Liu Guozhong, and other officials.
