1. Jilin University

Located in Changchun, capital city of Jilin province, Jilin University is a national key comprehensive university under the direction of the Ministry of Education (MOE). In 1995, it became one of the first universities approved by the National Education Committee to be included in the “211 Project,” an initiative aimed at XXX some Chinese universities. In 2001, it became a key national university in the “985 Project,” to improve high education.

2. Yanbian University

Yanbian University is located in Yanji, known as the “Land of Education” and capital city of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin province. It is one of the key universities included in the “211 Project”, one of the key colleges and universities included in the west development program, a key university jointly supported by the People’s Government of Jilin province and the Ministry of Education.

3. Northeast Normal University

Northeast Normal University is a well-known institution of higher education under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education. The university, located in Changchun, is a part of the “211 project”.

4. Jilin University of Finance and Economics

As a key university in Jilin province, Jilin University of Finance and Economics is co-sponsored by the People’s Government of Jilin Province and the State Taxation Administration. The university offers many programs covering the six major branches that include economics, management, law, arts, science and engineering. It is a professional postgraduate education institution with a specialized master’s programs such as MBA, Master of Law, Master of Taxation, Master of Applied Statistics, Master of International Business, Master of Accounting, and Master of Property Assessment.

5. Changchun University of Science and Technology

Changchun University of Science and Technology is a teaching and research university featuring optoelectronic technology and the coordinated development of multiple branches of learning. These academic sectors include engineering, science, humanities, economics, management, law and arts. It is highly specialized in combining technologies related to optics, mechanics, electronics, computer science and material science. Sponsored by the Jilin provincial government, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and Changchun Municipal Government, it is well known as “the Cradle of China’s Outstanding Optical Talents”.
