Bepotato, a Western-style restaurant crowdfunded by over 50 college students, has become a hot spot for young people in Liaocheng city in North China's Shandong province.

On the eatery's second day since opening, daily turnover exceeded 10,000 yuan, with the support of numerous students.

Bepotato is more than a restaurant, it is a sharing platform for young people that integrates leisure, entertainment, social interaction and a theme party.

"Crowd-funding is a good way for young people to start their businesses. Each individual is small, but many individuals united can make something," Yu Ran, a student who is the restaurant's marketing director, said.
