Chinese abstract painters have been seeking to incorporate eastern aesthetics into their work.
Liu Jiutong, a poet and up-and-coming abstract artist, gives prominence to Eastern temperaments in his ink paintings.
His exhibition at the Poly Art Museum features artwork he created between 2010 and 2013. Growing up in the Loess Plateau of North China, Liu shows a preference for portraying landscapes and architecture of Southern China.
The exhibition runs from April 30 until May 9.
