Folk crafts compete for Shanhua Award in Nanjing

The competition for the 11th Shanhua Award, China's highest folk art honor, began last Friday. Folk art including sculpture, paper-cutting, embroidery, ceramics, the scholar's four jewels (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper), traditional musical instruments and artistic fans will compete for the award. Meanwhile, folk art performances, forums, auctions and other activities will also be ongoing during the competitive event.
