The German orchestra will play Wagner's Meistersinger Overture, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 5 under the baton of Alexander Shelley. Nuremberg Symphony won an award at the Grammy's in 1993, as "the best pop instrumental performance" for the TV series Beauty and the Beast. The orchestra's connection to Hollywood dates back to the 1950s, when it started to record soundtracks for movies.
