Chinese fans of Hollywood, who were looking forward to new films being released on the mainland, have good news.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be in cinemas here on Sept 8 and War for the Planet of the Apes on Sept 15. Both are highly anticipated movies here.

Christopher Nolan's war epic Dunkirk is likely to hit mainland theaters on Sept 1.

China's box office is expected to make a turnaround by fall after its recent slowdown.
