Struggles of Chinese migrant workers

There were an estimated 277 million rural laborers working in China's cities in 2015, making up more than one-third of the country's total workforce, according to official statistics released earlier this year.

To provide a glimpse into the lives of migrant workers, Chinese artist Liu Xiangdong, 52, is offering a solo watercolor exhibition titled Wall. Underlying his calm strokes, Liu embraces the sadness of the ignored class, who work at the bottom, struggling for a better life.
