A series of artworks inspired by new media from Hong Kong and Macao artists will go on display in Beijing on September 9.
The event is the 5th Hong Kong and Macao Visual Art Biennale and aims to showcase the creative achievements and present situation of arts and design in Hong Kong and Macao.
The showpieces are a combination of design and modern technology, conveying the artists' thinking about the relations between history and future, tradition and creation, and virtual and reality.
A group of artists and scholars will be invited to get together at the exhibition and share ideas.
After the display in Beijing, the exhibition will tour Dunhuang, Gansu province and Zhengzhou in Henan province.
The Hong Kong and Macao Visual Art Biennale was first held in 2008. Since 2012, it has been held every two years, featuring the most representative calligraphy works, paintings, contemporary art works and photos of the artists from Hong Kong and Macao.
