The Tang Dynasty, in power for over 300 years, is considered the golden age of the arts, science and commerce in China. Tang influence remains strong today and is still evident in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, which the Tang called Chang’an.
The 135 objects on show are from 11 cultural institutions in Shaanxi province. Many of them are national treasures of China, and have never been exhibited abroad before.
The exhibition began April 9 and ends July 10.
