The movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny, which stars Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh, held its world premiere in Beijing on Monday.
Hong Kong director Woo Ping Yuen attended the red-carpet ceremony along with the casts.
The movie, which is the sequel to Ang Lee's 2000 film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, tells an epic story of lost love, a legendary sword, and one last opportunity at redemption.
Woo said that the sequel shines the spotlight on martial arts, whereas Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon focused more on romance.
The movie is set to open in China on Feb 19 and will hit both US theaters and Netflix worldwide on Feb 26.
