On June 24, Chinese three tenors Dai Yuqiang, Warren Mok and Wei Song recorded the Yellow River Cantata, which was composed by the late Chinese composer Xian Xinghai during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45) in Beijing.
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in that war, the three tenors also called for joint performances by more Chinese musicians, including soprano Lei Jia, Chinese folk musician Feng Mantian and renowned pianist Lang Lang.
