The first season of Chinese civil war drama, "All Quiet in Peking," has set a new Video-On-Demand record.
The period drama was streamed on domestic online video sites iQiyi, LeTV, Sohu and Thunder, where it gained a collective viewership of over 400-million during its run from early October to this past Sunday.
The show is based on Chinese author Liu Heping's popular novel of the same name, which is set in 1948, amid the turbulence of China's civil war.
"All Quiet in Peking" stars popular Chinese actors Chen Baoguo, Liu Ye, and winner of this year's Silver Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival, Liao Fan.
