The Croisements festival was created at the end of the French China Cross Cultural years, and has since become the driving force and main window for French arts in China.
Over a period of three months, each spring, the festival showcases exhibitions, arts installations and shows with a particular focus on French and Chinese art creations, and relies on an ever growing and strong network of local partners.
The 2014 Croisements Festival will host major events such as the first ever “10 French Masterpieces” exhibition and the “Paris Pékin 1844-2014” photo exhibition. In addition, the public will also be invited to discover brand new cross creations in creative areas such as the theater with the latest creation from the renowned troupe Culture & Handicap, and Contemporary Opera with Effet W and a music performance from Guo Gan.
The festival will host French contemporary and classical music, notably from the Baroque music contre tenor Philippe Jarouski, and new works from the Music Centre for Baroque music of Versailles. A major French orchestra along with famous French musical acts will also tour China.
Of course French cinema will be showcased in the annual Panorama of French films.
