Taiwan drama staged in London

Actress Huang Mei-ya performs on stage as the Goddess of the Xiang River in the dance drama Nine Songs at Sadler's Wells in London, Feb 21, 2014. The Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan will perform the drama at Sadler's Wells in London from February 21 to 27. Based on a series of classical Chinese poems by Qu Yuan, Nine Songs draws on ancient imagery and sensibilities to create a thoroughly contemporary piece, in which distant and recent pasts collide.
