BEIJING - Wan Qingliang, Party chief of Guangzhou City in south China's Guangdong Province, is under
investigation for suspected serious violations of disciplines and laws, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China said in a statement on its website Friday.
Born in 1964, Wan is a native of Wuhua County, Guangdong Province. He had successively served as the Party chief of Jiaoling County, Jieyang City and vice governor of Guangdong Province before he became Guangzhou's Party chief in December 2011.
