A new direct flight between southwest China's Chengdu and Los Angeles is launched in Chengdu on March 15, 2017. The roundtrip flights by Hainan Airlines are carried out by a Boeing 787 twice a week. The Los Angeles-bound flights will leave from Chengdu at 9:15 pm Beijing time every Wednesday and Sunday, before arriving in Los Angeles at 8 pm local time. The return flights will take off from Los Angeles at 00:45 am every Monday and Thursday, before landing in Chengdu at 6:40 am the following day.
