A painting by Chen Gumiao, a graduate from Tradition Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, shows scenes of daily life in Changsha, Central China's Hunan province, during the Republic of China era (1912-1949). Chen, a local Changsha girl, spent a year finishing her series on Changsha in the Republic of China era. She also created a Chinese ink painting of Changsha last year. Chen said she created these paintings because she loved her hometown so much and didn't want to lose those memories. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
