Anti-corruption word has been mentioned in a report of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) for the first time in decades.
"The CPPCC should work to improve the integrity of its members and continue fighting corruption,” said CPPCC Chairman Yu Zhengsheng in the annual report at the third session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee on Tuesday.
Presenting the work report of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, he said there were some shortcomings in last year's work of the political advisory body. He cited the expulsion of 14 national political advisors due to corruption.
Two former vice chairmen of (CPPCC) National Committee, Su Rong and Ling Jihua as well as 11 chairmen and vice chairmen of CPPCC provincial Committees have been caught in China’s anti-corruption campaign in the last two years.
