KUNMING - A coal mine was flooded in Southwest China's Yunnan province on Wednesday, trapping eight miners, local government said.
The mine is in the city of Qujing. Local safety regulators, police, medics and fire fighters rushed to the scene.
The operation headed by the city's mayor has not yet rescued the miners.
