New funding measures being pioneered in East China may ease tensions between medical staff and patients.

As the victim lay motionless on the ground, police officers who had witnessed the accident rushed into the hospital to ask for help, but members of staff refused to admit the injured man, citing a lack of stretchers and ambulances.
China probes beating of doctor, pregnant nurse
Central China's Hunan province has launched an investigation into the beating of a doctor and a pregnant nurse by family members of a patient in the latest hospital attack that shocked the nation.
Police are looking into the case in a hospital in Changsha, capital of Hunan, and the provincial People's Congress also said it kept close attentions, as the assailants allegedly involved one staff member of the legislature.
