Police in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, cracked a large soccer gambling network and seized 27 suspects in several cities recently, Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday.
More than 100 police officers conducted simultaneous raids in Hangzhou, Yiwu and Cangnan.
Preliminary indications are that more than 300 million yuan ($48 million) was involved in the gambling operation, the police said.
