Eight Chinese tourists injured in boat collision

BORACAY ISLAND, Philippines - At least eight Chinese tourists got injured in a ship collision incident on Sunday off the coast of the Philippine resort island of Boracay, the Coast Guard said.

At least three of them were brought to the Boracay District Hospital for medical treatment.

Initial investigation by the Coast Guard shows that the Chinese tourists were on the sailboat for an island hopping when their boat was accidentally collided by a speeding motor banca.

They were immediately rescued and were brought to the hospital.
