The National Tourism Administration and Tianjin municipal government will hold the sixth China Tourism Industries Exposition from Sept 19 to 22.
The exposition will highlight recreational vehicle tours in Tianjin and cruises on the Yellow Sea, the National Tourism Administration and Tianjin government said on Friday.
Yang Shihao, head of the Tianjin tourism administration, said the city's recreational vehicle tours will become a major attraction this year, boosted by five large parks that recently opened in a suburb of the city.
Yang also said the city is working with other nine major costal cities along the Yellow Sea, including Dalian in Northeast China, Fukuoka in Japan and Busan in South Korea, to jointly promote the development of cruise travel on the Yellow Sea.
Wang Runhua, vice-director of the planning and financial department of the National Tourism Administration, encouraged the city to boost its tourism and equipment manufacturing industries. "The tourism and the equipment manufacturing industries complement and promote each other," Wang said.
