Policemen armed with guns will patrol the venues in Beijing where high school students are to take college entrance exams this weekend.
The Beijing police will deploy armed vehicles and emergency cars to protect the safety of the annual exam, which some 70,000 students will sit in the capital city from Saturday to Sunday.
It will be the first time armed police will patrol during the exam, Beijing News reported.
The police will also offer help to the students who forget to take their identity cards or get caught in traffic jams on their way to the exam, the report said.
