A man with a large knife stabbed two people to death and seriously injured another in an attack on Tuesday evening in downtown Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, Southeast Express reported on Wednesday.
According to a statement by the Fuzhou public security bureau, the incident happened at 10 pm near a supermarket.
The 26-year-old knife-wielding suspect, surnamed Chen, allegedly killed two men and injured a woman. One of the dead was confirmed to be a local policeman.
The suspect was taken into custody and the injured woman was receiving treatment at a local hospital.
An investigation is still underway.
