A senior police officer in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is under investigation on suspicion of corruption, the country's top anti-graft agency said on Thursday.
Li Yanming, Party chief of the Xinjiang Police College and also a member of the Party committee of the autonomous region's department of public security, is being investigated for suspected grave violation of discipline and law, according to a statement on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China.
An inspection team dispatched by the commission is guiding the investigation, the statement said.
The commission gave no further details about the probe.
