Man has 2 IDs, 3 wives, 4 children

A man in Shenzhen has been found to have two ID cards, six household registration certificates and three wives with whom he has fathered four children, Yangcheng Evening News reported on Friday.

The man, surnamed Liu, is suspected of bribing officials and forging official documents, said lawyer Ma Xueping.

Ma said Liu may also be accused of committing bigamy.

In the house where Chang, who married Liu in 2010, lives, a Yangcheng Evening News reporter saw several household registration certificates.

In addition to the certificates, Liu has two ID cards in different names and with different numbers, Chang said.

Chang discovered Liu's secret two years ago when she answered a call from a woman who said she has been married to Liu for 11 years and that they have a 10-year-old child together.

During the last two years, Chang has been negotiating with Liu for a divorce but Liu has refused.

Chang has not sued Liu because she is frightened she could be in an inferior position as she was the last of Liu's three wives.
