A courier working for an express delivery company in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, was detained after he stole 60 mobile phones and 24 pieces of valuables from clients' packages, Huashang Daily reported on Monday.
Detained by police on May 2, the 24-year-old man confessed that he stole the valuables - including the phones, watches, gold and silver jewelry - to get money for his wedding ceremony scheduled for October.
The case is under further investigation.
