BEIJING - China will boost support for the real economy to lay a solid foundation for economic growth, the central leadership of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) said on Friday.
The government will step up support for small and micro-firms, and sectors of agriculture, rural areas and farming, said a statement released after a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, chaired by its general secretary Xi Jinping.
More efforts will be made to streamline administration and delegate powers to lower levels to build a fairer market environment, the statement said.
The government will continue with reforms on fiscal taxation, finance, prices and management systems in science and technology, the statement said.
More efforts will be made to accelerate economic restructuring, upgrading the manufacturing sector, industrialization of technology and equipment in environmental protection, as well as railway and clean energy projects in central and western China, it said.
The government will continue to support its strategy to develop the west and the rejuvenation of old industrial bases including those in northeastern China, it said.
The government will carry out further work on employment and social security, it said.
