The All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has received approval from the State Council of China to rebuild and modernize 100 wholesale markets in Hebei, Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong provinces, People's Daily reported on Sunday.
The projects will focus on boosting management innovation, quality inspections, packaging, processing, service innovation and improving service for farmers.
The project is expected to be finished within two years
The move is in line with a government decision to build a circulation chain for production and marketing among major agricultural wholesale markets.
