One person was killed and 11 others injured in a suspected gas blast at a restaurant in Beijing's Tongzhou district on Friday morning, Beijing Times reported.
The incident occurred at about 7:20 am, causing the restaurant to collapse, damaging 10 nearby premises. Windows at dozens of residential houses were smashed by the shock wave.
One died on site while the injured were rushed to hospital.
