HAIKOU - Ji Wenlin, vice governor of south China's Hainan Province, was removed from his post on Thursday at the seventh session of the Standing Committee of the fifth Provincial People's Congress.
Ji is suspected of serious legal and discipline violations and was placed under investigation by the disciplinary authorities in February.
A native of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ji was born in 1966. He was elected vice governor of Hainan Province in January 2013.
