Father of student detained after attacking teachers

A man in Jingmen, Hubei province, was detained by police after he rushed into a senior middle school and injured two teachers with a knife, China News Service reported on Thursday.

The man, who is the father of a student at the school, went there on the afternoon of March 23 and injured the teachers on the arms with a knife he had with him. According to the teachers, Tian's son had fought with classmates and was sent home that afternoon.

Tian was angry when he learned that his son was asked to leave school, and he went to the school to retaliate against the teachers.
