Hundreds of dead pigs have been found floating in the Nanchang section of Ganjiang River in Jiangxi province, Xinhua News Agency reported.
As of 6 pm on Tuesday, 131 pig carcasses had been retrieved from the section.
The local government confirmed the safety of water in the section after testing, and is investigating the source of the pigs.
