A woman who was kidnapped saved herself by quick thinking and convincing one of the kidnappers to let her go, Modern Express reported on Thursday.
Surnamed Fan, the woman who runs a paint factory in Changshu, Jiangsu province, was kidnapped by a man surnamed Zhao, who used to have business with Fan, and other two men on Jan 19. The men turned off Fan's mobile phone and threatened her to make her tell them the passwords for her bank cards.
When two of the three kidnappers went to withdraw money with Fan's bank card, Fan convinced the third man to let her go.
Before Fan was released, Fan's family members had reported to police that they could not contact Fan. Police caught Zhao in the early morning of Jan 20, and caught the other two suspects on Feb 5 and 12.
The three alleged kidnappers who took cash and a BMW car valued at 700,000 yuan ($115,060) from Fan were arrested with the approval of the Changshu People's Procuratorate.
