China rejected 248 batches of imported food products and another eight batches of imported cosmetic products in December for failing quality or packaging standards, the country's quality watchdog has announced.
Among the products rejected or destroyed were red wine produced by Domaine de la Grangette from France and frozen pork imported from the United States, according to a statement released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on Monday.
The eight batches of imported cosmetics products that were rejected include two toothpaste products by CJ Lion Corp of South Korea and bath products from Thalgo Cosmetic SA of France.
