One of the biggest chili food manufacturers in China, Laoganma Special Flavour Foodstuffs Co, achieved 3.72 billion yuan ($613.8 million) in sales revenue in 2013, according to a company source.
The company, based in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province, paid taxes of 510 million yuan and its chili farms and related industries offer many job opportunities.
The company uses 2 million glass bottles every day from seven suppliers. Other suppliers include four bottle lid factories, three paper packaging makers, three tag makers, 110 raw material suppliers, 135 sales agents and eight transportation and logistics companies, which account for some 32,000 jobs.
Laoganma's raw materials transaction volume in Guizhou province saw a 210 percent annual increase to hit 1.1 billion yuan in 2013, including 750 million yuan of transactions in Guiyang.
Laoganma exports its products to more than 30 countries and regions.
