BEIJING - Ji Jianye, former mayor of Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, is being investigated by prosecutors, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).
Ji is suspected of taking bribes, the SPP said in a statement on Friday.
The statement said the investigation was decided after a SPP review and it also decided to impose "coercive measures" on him.
