Shaanxi province in Northwest China plans to build an archaeological museum, Xi'an Evening News reported on Thursday.
According to the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, it is preparing to build an archaeological museum as the first such in China, and will display archaeological history, techniques, methods and results for visitors.
Shaanxi, which served as the capital for 11 dynasties in Chinese history, has a large number of historical sites, ruins, artifacts and emperors' tombs under and on the ground, and uncovers many archaeological discoveries every year.
