4 injured in SW China earthquake
KUNMING - Four people were slightly injured when a 4.9-magnitude quake jolted a border area near Southwest China's Sichuan and Yunnan provinces at 10:46 am Tuesday, local authorities said.
The quake has toppled 56 houses and damaged 815 others in Yunnan's Qiaojia county, the county government said.
"Many people ran out of buildings when the quake came, but there was no falling debris. The shopping mall resumed business shortly afterwards," a mall shopper said.
Rescue work is under way, the county government said.
