Noting the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries last year, Wen said there were fresh and important opportunities to promote their ties.
"The Chinese government has attached great importance to its relations with Poland and has seen it as an important cooperation partner in the European Union and even the whole of Europe," Wen said.
China, Wen said, was ready to work with Poland to further promote the long-term and stable development of their relationship on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.
Wen also said he would meet and exchange views with Polish leaders on bilateral ties, the China-Europe relationship and international issues of common concern during what is the first official visit by a Chinese premier to the central European country in more than 20 years.
Poland is the last leg of Wen's four-nation Europe tour, having visited Iceland and Sweden and attended the 2012 Hanover Trade Fair in Germany.
