YAN'AN, Shaanxi - At least 28 people were killed early Sunday morning after a collision between a bus and a methanol-loaded tanker in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, local police said.
The two vehicles caught fire after the collision in the city of Yan'an at around 2 am. Three people survived, but suffered injuries, said the municipal police.
Twenty-eight bodies have been found from the debris. The exact death toll is yet to be known as the number of people aboard the 39-seat bus is unavailable at the moment.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
