A Zhejiang woman has been writing encouraging letters to a farmer whose face was burnt in a fire for the past 11 years, Qianjiang Evening News reported.
On March 27, 2000, Que Zufa, then 28, of Shushao village in Songyang county, Zhejiang province, was seriously injured as he tried to extinguish a fire on a mountain near his home.
On Jan 31, 2001, Zhang Qian, then a college student in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, wrote to Que after learning of his bravery from local media, saying she supported him and hoped he would recover soon. She included 20 yuan ($3).
