The best way to promote the Chinese language study to the world, currently assumed by Chinese Confucius Institute, is to hand the mission over to the private bodies, said Yu Minhong, a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference also head of an English training company.

Yu, founder and president of New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc, a leading English training company, advised the government to fund the private organizations to undertake tasks of the Confucius Institute outside China.

If the government carries out all the promotion, it may arouse some repelling thought of other countries, said Yu who believed that non-government promotion will be easier for foreign people to accept it.

Yu also support the Chinese student to go abroad to study after completing the high school education.

China Education Association for International Exchange also issued a report showing that about 22.6 percent of all overseas Chinese students left China when studying in high school.

“After these students go abroad, the vacant opportunity of entering university will be replenished by others and moreover most of those high school students who choose to study in foreign universities will come back after graduation,” said Yu. “So China does not suffer any loss.”
