FUZHOU - Two fishermen were confirmed dead and four others were still missing after their vessel sank Wednesday morning in Quanzhou Bay, Fujian Province.
Early Wednesday morning, local maritime police received a report that one fishing boat, with eight fishermen on board, had sank in the Quanzhou Bay sea area, said local maritime police.
A rescue boat and helicopter had been dispatched. Fishing vessels nearby the accident spot were also being used in the rescue.
As of 9 am Wednesday, two fishermen had been rescued, but four were still missing.
According to the rescued fishermen, gale-force winds overturned the boat.
