XI'AN - Nineteen people have died and 13 remain missing as of Tuesday afternoon after a rain-triggered landslide buried manufacturing facilities in Northwest China's Shaanxi province on Saturday, according to the local rescue headquarters.
Rescuers equipped with heavy machinery are searching for 13 missing employees from a ceramics plant in Baqiao, a suburban district in the province's capital of Xi'an, the headquarters said.
The landslide occurred around 2 pm Saturday, burying a brick factory and destroying part of the ceramics plant.
