San Francisco will introduce several projects involving solar energy use, energy-consumption monitoring and control systems and green buildings to showcase its know-how in curbing global warming impact for its Urban Best Practices showcase at Expo 2010.
The display will last for six days in July, 2010. San Francisco officials signed a participation contract with the organizer today in Shanghai for the third type of UBPA showcase, which usually covers a shorter spell of time compared with UBPA's pavilion exhibition and will use forums, activities and performances to showcase their ideas.
Shanghai and San Francisco, as sister cities, hope to enhance cooperation in charity, research and cultural programs and combat challenges resulting from global warming together via the Expo.
