He said logistics, involving movement of medicine, devices, equipment and reagents, might be the most tiring and complicated work at hospitals and this might be out of expectations of most entrepreneurs in the mobile health sectors.

Hospitals are in urgent need of information means to reduce costs and improve accuracy, Liu said.

In addition, how to help doctors and nurses improve safety and quality and reduce medical accidents such as using the wrong medicine or transfusing the wrong blood is another business opportunity for mobile health entrepreneurs, said Liu, according to the 21st Century Business Herald.

Brookings' Darrell West said mobile health is still in its infancy and this sector is complex as it involves network operators, equipment manufacturers, service providers, hospitals, patients and doctors.

But the world needs to go through this period as people in most countries are aging and medical costs are increasing and information technology has proved to improve efficiency and productivity in many areas and will do so the health sector.
