The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement that the affected cars may have fuses that have been incorrectly installed in the passenger-side interior fuse boxes.
In extreme cases, the fuses may malfunction and pose safety hazards.
The recalled vehicles belong to GLA, A and B series, and all of them were manufactured in September 2014.
Mercedes-Benz dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace faulty parts free of charge.
